The Magazine: Chunner Music
Target Readership: Chunner Music is the music magazine for people who are into the music genre Drum and Bass. The target age is 18-25 and it will be aimed at both genders. As there are not many Drum and Bass magazines around the people who like Drum and Bass will be able to buy a magazine just on Drum and Bass. Also, because I have chosen the age group 18-25 they should have a part time job or working full time so they would be able to buy the magazine each time it comes out. They would be at the age where they would be going out to clubs every week to go to Drum and Bass nights. They will also, if they are really interested into Drum and Bass, would buy gear so they could play or create their own Drum and Bass, for example buying decks and mixers and buying software for their computer.
Form and Style: Chunner Music is and A4 full colour magazine which contains interviews with the hottest and best Drum and Bass Dj’s around, it will have reviews about new albums and new technology. It will also have competitions and free gifts in the magazine. The magazine colours will be vibrant colours and I have chosen yellow, red and blue to be my main colours for my magazine. I have chosen these colours, because if you go to a night club or rave the lights are normally these colours. On the front cover there will be a main picture which will have a popular Dj or up and coming Dj. The cover lines will say the main features in the magazine. The Magazine will sell at £2.00.
Themes and Typical features: Chunner Music will have many features typical of that of music magazines. Every issue will include an interviews of up and coming artist, reviews of the new Drum and Bass tunes, an essential mix CD. It will have a page for the top ten Drum and Bass tunes each month, information on the new technology to the world of Drum and Bass, mixing and producing. Review of new technology, Festivals coming up and a competition. The main focus of the magazine would be the interviews and the op ten Drum and Bass tunes. It would be an interesting read and influential to the people who want to be artists, because of the Interviews and reviews of the technology. The language used will be appropriate for the target audience to make the magazine as useful and interesting as possible. There will be articles about new festivals or nights at clubs which would be coming up in the next month and a rating on how good they will be.
